Watching over the Pohoda Festival 2016

This article begins with a new section of our blog called “Syrup”, where we will gradually share our shared experiences and fresh news from our syrup workshop.

In the past few years since we created Herbert Syrups, we've built a community of friends and have visited many events. Although we like every festival we take part in, there is only one that is our ''heartbeat''. We first fell in love with Pohoda festival as festival-goers. At that time, we certainly did not know that one day we would be part of it.

When we crossed the Pohoda gates for the second time with two fully loaded cars in 2016, we had no idea what awaited us.
We spent the whole day preparing the bar and all the framework issues. After two nights of little sleep, it was not easy, but fortunately we were helped by the @rustynailscoffee guys who woke us up in the mornings with their excellent coffee.
When we thought things couldn't be going any better, we encountered a problem with the floor that proved to be inconvenient. Thanks to the great people around us, who are more family than friends, this problem was resolved. One of them is also Aďo from @jedlekvety. We know that we can always find the best quality herbs and decorations at Ado's. At Ado's a one-hour purchase by the ''herb team'' becomes a four-hour purchase. In addition to fresh herbs, we also brought smoked pork knee and 2 tons of wood pulp with us. It eventually covered the entire floor of the tent and created an unmistakable atmosphere.

The real work did not happen until Thursday, when all our ideas and ideas had to be realized. We strategically split into teams and delegated and assigned ourselves tasks. While some dealt with decorations and the bar, others focused on the actual preparation of drinks and coffees from the above mentioned Prague roasters. Apart from the traditional combinations, we came up with our wine special, which caused us scandal and did not make the situation very easy. The wine special was called J#$@ DO RUKY.

It originated as a spontaneous idea to create a take away beverage, which we tested at Pohoda 2015. From a number of positive responses, the name offered itself, so to speak. The storm that followed caught us right before the opening of the festival. We were a bit nervous about it, but we had a lot of work with the direction. One is never ready, but we are happy that everything turned out well. Thanks to our friends for their support and to Pohoda for their leniency with our “crazy” ideas.

The atmosphere at Pohoda is simply indescribable. You must experience it yourself and with your best friends. For us, it is not only fun, but also our duty to provide you with everything you need to enjoy the festival. Pohoda 2017 will start in one week and we already know that it will be unforgettable. We can't wait!
